This option includes and individual pushbutton control for the Air-Control™ Metering valve and is provided standard with a hot and cold pressure balancing mixing valve. Water flow metering can be field set for range from 5 to 60 seconds. Pushbutton requires less than 5 pounds of pressure to activate the valve. See individual model specification sheets for pushbutton location.
9VDC Programmable Piezo button(s) with 10’ foot connection leads are operated by touching piezo cap to activate solenoid valve. Button(s) have a default 8 second metered flow, but can be programed for additional time on site. Flow cycle can be stopped by touching the Piezo cap before the flow cycle ends. Button(s) are powered by 9VDC transformer or optional 6 AA battery pack (Batteries Not Included).
Use of this option provides "Hands-Free" washing. It includes an infra-red sensor operated, solenoid water valve, mixing valve and a transformer. A 24VAC sensor is used on our Wash-Ware product lines whenever the -SO option is selected. This sensor operates with a 30 second metered flow or cycle once an object is detected before turning off the solenoid valve.
In addition to saving installation costs, this option is ideal for renovation projects where hands-free control is desired. Use of this option eliminates the requirement to provide electrical power and wiring for units with -SO Sensor Operated Control. Each sensor and solenoid valve is powered by a concealed battery pack with 6 AA batteries (batteries provided by the installer and not included). We recommend using Lithium or Alkaline batteries to power the sensor.The -SO-BAT Sensor activates the solenoid valve whenever an object is detected in the range area. The sensor will keep the solenoid open, allowing water to flow until the object is removed from sensor range. If an object is positioned in a manner that it is under constant detection the sensor will turn the solenoid off after 30-90 seconds.

What is Enviro-Glaze®?
Enviro-Glaze® is a smooth or textured hard coating that endures impact, will not bubble, and is chip-resistant. The coating is an electrostatically sprayed powder that is applied to the outsideof the stainless steel fixture, then cured at a temperature in excess of 400°F. Vigorous inspectionduring every step of the production process ensures that the finish on every fixture meets Acorn’s high quality standards.
How should Enviro-Glaze® be cleaned and maintained?
Acorn’s Enviro-Glaze® finish creates a beautiful surface that is easily cleaned, maintained andkept in a sanitary condition. A solution of warm water and mild soap is all that is necessary forcleaning the unit.*
* Long exposure to ultra-violet rays of the sun may cause chalking; however, should this occur, use of a mild furniture wax will remove residue and restore the original luster.
The bibb is mounted on either the left or the right side of the fixture pedestal, conveniently located for janitorial use. Hose bibbs are provided with polished chrome plate finish.
This option provides a Single Temperature Air-Control™ Metering Valve assembly and is offered as an alternative to the standard hot and cold mixing valve when a single water supply is desired.
