Secur-Care® Ligature-Resistant, Front Access Security Wall Shower with T/P Mixing Valve - CBC (Calif Title 24) and ADA

Shower with Mixing Valve Control is designed for installation on a finished wall and service via a removable front panel. A mounting frame is provided. Unit conforms with ANSI, UFAS, CBC, and ADA requirements for accessibility.[CBC 11B-608.5.1, 11B-608.5.2, 11B-608.5.3] Compliance is subject to the interpretation and requirements of the Local Code Authority.

Upper and lower Conical Showerheads with swivel adjustment provide a user-adjustable universal swivel angle with both vertical and horizontal adjustment.

Shower Panel is 14-gauge, type 304 stainless steel with #4 satin finish. Controls are 38" to 48" from the finished floor and should be located on the wall in accordance with Shower Stall Type and configuration [CBC 11B-608.5.1, 11B-608.5.2, 11B-608.5.3]. A stainless steel Recessed Soap Dish is included and located at a maximum of 40 " from the finished floor for CBC requirements [CBC 11B-608.10].

The control valve is an ASSE 1016-compliant T/P Temperature/Pressure Balancing Mixing Valve with Patented Tri-Lever Handle. Valve automatically mixes hot and cold water to deliver blended water within a specific range and meets the stringent performance criteria for Temperature and Pressure changes defined by ASSE 1016.

Metering Valve in Riser includes Ligature-Resistant, Hemispherical Pushbutton design and requires less than 5 pounds of force to activate. [CBC 11B-309.4] Specify:

• -03-M and -04-M Air-Control Valve is metering, non-hold-open type and is adjustable from 5 to 60 seconds. Air-control Valve includes a 1.6 GPM flow restrictor. Valves conform with Lead-Free requirements of NSF61, Section 9. [CBC 11B-309.4] and are offered for Single Temperature or H&C supply.
• -Electronic Metering Valve designs are offered with an array of timing and programming options. Refer to individual Electronic Valve submittal sheets for specific technical data.

Diverter Valve is provided regularly to deliver water to both upper and lower showerheads for independent operation as required by the code standard [CBC 11B-608.6]. Includes patented ADA-compliant Tri-Lever Handle.

In-Wall Mounting Frame is constructed of heavy-gauge galvanized steel and provides access to service fixture and Panel mounting using Stainless Steel Vandal-Resistant Fasteners (provided).

Regularly furnished items include an ASSE 1016-compliant Mixing Valve, Diverter Valve, Metering Valve actuated by Hemispherical Pushbutton, upper and lower -CSHS Conical Showerheads [CBC 11B-608.6; Exception], Recessed Soap Dish [CBC 11B-608.10], and necessary Fasteners (Mounting hardware by others).

Optional Less Diverter Valve (-LDV) provides separate valve control for Showerhead(s) and Handheld Shower. Note: Independent control of Showerheads is required [CBC 11B-608.6, Exception].
