The Time-Trol® Plus System retrofits existing fixtures to maximize water savings while delivering enhanced control. The system uses a pneumatic actuator that requires less than 5 pounds of force on the fixture pushbutton to activate the
timing cycle. All Kits below include: (2) MVC-BAT Time-trol® Plus Valve Controllers, Hot and Cold 9V Solenoid Valve Assembly, (2) Pushbutton Actuators, Wiring and Tubing. Pushbutton requires Acorn “D” shape punching.
9 Volt Battery Powered Modular Valve Controller delivers precise timing to meter water flow for control of the Solenoid Valve provided. Duration of metering timed cycles include eleven settings between 4 seconds and 7 minutes.
Time-Trol® Plus Controllers (MVC-BAT) have a plastic housing with a compartment for a rectangular 9 Volt battery. Battery shall be supplied by others. Factory tests have provided over 90,000 operation cycles with a standard alkaline battery.
Controller rotating Adjustment Knob selects valve metering length. The Pneumatic Actuator Tube easily attaches to the Modular Valve Controller, 10 foot Tube length is provided standard. Controller is to be located within 10 feet of activating pushbutton.
Controller is supplied with 3 feet of wiring for connection to solenoid control valve. Should installer increase length of 14 ga wiring, battery cycle life will decrease approximately 5% for every additional 10 feet.
Status indicator lights are included with Controller for instant visual status feedback, simplifying operation and diagnostics. Pressing either the fixture pushbutton or the controller STATUS/SET button will display one of the following conditions:
- 1 Flash = Normal Status
- 2 Flashes = Lockout Active
- 4 Flashes = Lockout Confirmed
- 5 Flashes = Valve Time Set to Off
- 6 Flashes = Start-Up Initialization
Note: When the battery power becomes low, the Status Indicator Light automatically starts flashing once every five seconds. When this condition is observed, replace Batteries as soon as possible. When battery power drops too low it will no longer
power the latching solenoid, potentially causing the valve to run continuously until Battery is replaced.
Solenoid Valve includes corrosion resistant components and is provided with a Stainless Steel Strainer and Integral Checkstop. The valve body is manufactured from Noryl® thermoplastic resin. Valve assembly conforms with the lead-free
requirements of NSF61, Section 9, 1997 and ADA requirements. Hot water supply should be tempered with an appropriate ASSE Compliant Mixing Valve or as required by Local Code.
Specify required flow rate for Lavatory, Service Sink or Shower fixture.
Optional -BRS Brass Valve Body with 9V Solenoid provides increased durability and includes Stainless Steel Strainer assembly and Checkstop. Brass Body meets the lead free requirements of NSF/ANSI 61, Section 9, 1997; and CHSC 116875.
