Hot and Cold Time-Trol® Retrofit Valve Kit - Externally Powered

The Time-Trol® Plus System retrofits existing fixtures to maximize water savings while delivering enhanced control. The system uses a pneumatic actuator that requires less than 5 pounds of force on the fixture pushbutton to activate the timing cycle. All Kits below include: (2) MVC Valve Controllers, Hot and Cold 24V Solenoid Valve Assembly, (2) Pushbutton Actuators, Transformer, Wiring and Tubing. Pushbutton requires Acorn “D” shape punching.

Modular Valve Controller delivers precise timing to meter water flow for control of the Solenoid Valve provided. Timed cycles include 1, 2, 4, 9, 17, and 34 seconds, and 1.1, 2.3, 4.5, and 9 minutes. 

Controllers (MVC) are provided with quick-connect terminals for easy connection to both the Solenoid Valve and a low-voltage 24 VAC transformer and include 20 feet of 18 AWG Control wiring. The Pneumatic Actuator Tube easily attaches to the Modular Valve Controller; a 10-foot length is provided standard. Controllers may be remotely located up to 100 feet from the actuating Pushbuttons and 50 feet from the Solenoid Valve using additional Tubing and Wiring (Contact Acorn Parts Dept). The Controllers may be in the chase area or in a monitoring control room. Electrical power is required.

Status indicator lights are included with the Controller for instant visual status feedback, simplifying operation and diagnostics.
Details include:

1.  The Amber Power Light remains on while power is supplied to the -MVC.
2. The Red Switch Light illuminates when the Pushbutton is pressed and turns off when the Pushbutton is released.
3. The Green Valve Light remains on while the contacts are closed and the solenoid valve is open. The Green Valve

Light turns off at the end of the timing cycle.

24 VAC Solenoid Valve includes corrosion-resistant components and is provided with a Stainless Steel Strainer and Integral Checkstop. The valve body is manufactured from Noryl® thermoplastic resin. Valve assembly conforms with the lead-free requirements of NSF61, Section 9, 1997 and ADA requirements. Hot water supply should be tempered with an appropriate ASSE-compliant mixing valve or as required by Local Code.

Select required flow rate for Lavatory, Service Sink or Shower fixture.

Transformer is included as standard to provide 24VAC, 50VA power to components and is mounted on a Plate for hardwired installation to a 4” x 4” Electrical Junction Box (provided by others). Electrical specifications: 120VAC, 60 Hz, 3A min service required. Each Transformer can serve up to 9 (24VAC) Solenoids.

Optional -BRS Brass Valve Body with 24V Solenoid provides increased durability and includes Stainless Steel Strainer assembly and Checkstop. Brass Body meets the lead-free requirements of NSF/ANSI 61, Section 9, 1997; and CHSC 116875.
